Rival no-foul protectors (groin guards) are sized by waist circumference. Measure at the natural waistline where a normal belt sits — over an athletic supporter or compression shorts, since that's what you'll wear underneath when sparring. The padded foul cup is universal; only the waistband sizing changes.
Fit tip: A no-foul protector should sit snug enough that it doesn't shift when you bounce on the balls of your feet. If your measurement falls between sizes, size down for a tight fit — there's elasticity in the waistband.
| Size | Waist circumference |
|---|---|
| S | 26–30" |
| M | 30–34" |
| L | 34–38" |
| XL | 38–42" |
How to measure your waist
- Measure around your natural waistline at navel level.
- Take the measurement over an athletic supporter or compression shorts — not over jeans or a tracksuit waistband.
- Keep the tape level all the way round.
- Stand naturally. Don't compress your stomach.
