Bravose Boxing Gloves Size Guide

Find your Bravose glove weight by your body weight and hand circumference (measured without a wrap). Bravose splits the range into two charts — bag/training gloves for pad work, bag work and conditioning, and sparring gloves for technical sparring and live drilling. Most boxers own one pair from each chart so they can rotate weights through the week.

Bag & Training Gloves

For bag work, pad work and light technical drilling. Choose the lightest weight that still cushions your knuckles — lighter gloves give a sharper feel and faster hand speed.

Sparring Gloves

For live sparring, drill work and heavier bag sessions where the priority is protecting your partner's head and your own knuckles. Heavier gloves absorb more impact but slow your hand speed slightly.

Junior & Kids Gloves

The Bravose Fearless junior glove range runs in 4oz, 6oz and 8oz to fit children roughly 4-12 years old. As a guide: 4oz for ages 4-7 (smaller hands, lighter sparring partners), 6oz for ages 7-10 (mid-size hands, light pad and bag work), 8oz for ages 10-12 or larger juniors moving into supervised sparring. When in doubt, size up — a junior fighter is better in a slightly large glove than a glove that crushes their fingers.

How to measure your hand

• Hand circumference — wrap a soft tape measure around the widest part of your dominant hand (across the knuckles, just below the fingers), with the thumb tucked. Do NOT measure with a hand wrap on — the chart already accounts for typical wrap thickness.
• Use body weight as a sanity check — if hand size and body weight push you toward different rows, prioritise the body weight row for sparring (more padding = safer partner work) and prioritise hand circumference for bag work (snug fit = better feel).
• Sit between two weights? Size up. Bravose gloves use Asian sizing and run a snug, tucked-thumb fit — most fighters comfortable in a UK 12oz from another brand land in a Bravose 14oz.
