Venum's men's Muay Thai shorts are cut short and wide — the bottom finishes at the middle of the thigh so kicks and teeps clear without snagging, and the leg openings flare for unrestricted hip rotation. The elasticated waistband sits on the natural waist. This is one of Venum's highest-volume size guides covering Origins, Classic, Contender and signature MT lines across the Venum collection.
Fit tip: Waistbands are flexible with roughly +/- 3cm of give in the waist measurement — the fit will still be perfect. If you're between two sizes, favour the waist measurement. For optimal comfort across long pad rounds, Venum recommend choosing the size above your measurement.
| Size | Waist | Thigh Length |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 28.3 - 29.9 in | 12 in |
| S | 30.3 - 31.9 in | 13 in |
| M | 32.3 - 33.9 in | 13.5 in |
| L | 34.3 - 35.8 in | 14 in |
| XL | 36.2 - 37.8 in | 15 in |
| XXL | 38.2 - 39.8 in | 16 in |
Venum's published values are in inches — multiply by 2.54 to convert to cm if needed.
How to measure
- Waist: Measure around the natural waistline at the narrowest point, just above the hip bones. Keep the tape level.
- Thigh length: Stand straight and measure from the top of the hip down the side of the leg. MT shorts are short by design — the bottom sits around the middle of the thigh.
Not sure which size to pick? Most MT fighters prefer the looser, classic flared cut — if you sit between sizes, go up. We offer 30-day returns on unworn shorts with tags attached. Browse the full Venum collection for matching MT gloves, shin guards and rashguards.
