Venum kids' BJJ gis are pre-shrunk and built to take the punishment of nightly rolls, drilling and competition without the sleeves rising above the wrists after a few washes. Sizing follows the IBJJF C-grade system (C00 through C3) which maps to age and height, with sleeve and leg lengths graded for a growing frame. Browse matching kids' rashguards and shorts in the Venum collection.
Fit tip: Accurate sleeve and leg length matter for IBJJF and most amateur federation rules — a gi that's too short to cover the wrist when the arm is extended will get flagged. Choose the larger size for a roomier gi with longer sleeves; size down for a more fitted cut with shorter sleeves and legs.
| Size | Sleeves Length | Leg Length | Age | Height |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| C00 | 40.1 in | 24 in | 4/5 | 39.3 - 43.3 in |
| C0 | 43.7 in | 26.3 in | 6/7 | 43.7 - 48 in |
| C1 | 47.2 in | 28.7 in | 8/9 | 48.4 - 53.5 in |
| C2 | 50.7 in | 31.1 in | 10/11 | 53.9 - 57.8 in |
| C3 | 54.3 in | 33.4 in | 12/13 | 58.2 - 62.9 in |
Venum's published values are in inches — multiply by 2.54 to convert to cm if needed.
How to measure
- Height: Stand against a wall in bare feet and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
- Sleeve length: From the centre back of the neck, across the shoulder, and down to the wrist with the arm extended.
- Leg length (inseam): From the top of the inner thigh down to the ankle bone.
Not sure which size to pick? Kids grow fast — if your child sits between two C-grade sizes, go up. The gi is pre-shrunk so it won't tighten on the first wash. We offer 30-day returns on unworn gis with tags attached. Browse the full Venum collection for kids' rashguards, shorts and grappling gear.
