Hayabusa MMA Gloves Size Guide

Use this guide to size Hayabusa MMA gloves. The same chart applies to both the T3 4oz competition glove and the T3 7oz hybrid sparring glove. MMA gloves should sit close to the hand for grappling and clinch control — a snug fit is the goal, not a roomy one.

How to measure your hand

  • Wrap a flexible tape around your dominant hand at the knuckles with the tape level and your hand relaxed and open. Do not include the thumb.
  • If you train with hand wraps under your MMA gloves, measure with wraps on.
  • If you are between two sizes, size up for the 7oz hybrid sparring glove (longer training sessions) and size down for the 4oz competition glove (precision and grip).

Hand circumference to glove size

Size Hand circumference
S 6.5 – 7.0 in (16.5 – 17.8 cm)
M 7.0 – 7.5 in (17.8 – 19.0 cm)
L 7.5 – 8.5 in (19.0 – 21.6 cm)
XL 8.5 in + (21.6 cm +)

Choosing between the 4oz and 7oz hybrid

  • T3 MMA 4oz: the competition-spec glove. Minimal padding over the knuckle, full finger dexterity for grappling and submissions. Best for cage time and short live rounds.
  • T3 7oz Hybrid: more padding for striking volume; still allows for grappling exchanges. The right choice for long MMA sparring sessions and pad work where the 4oz would beat up your hands.
