Fairtex AS1 Ankle Supports give compression and joint stability for Muay Thai, kickboxing, MMA and BJJ training. They're sold in a freesize (one-size-stretch) version and a sized version with S/M and L/XL bands. The sized variants give a closer, firmer fit — pick by ankle circumference.
Fairtex AS1 Ankle Support Size Chart (sized variants)
Measure your ankle circumference around the narrowest point just above the ankle bone, in centimetres.
| Size | Ankle Circumference (cm) |
|---|---|
| S / M | 18 – 22 |
| L / XL | 22 – 26 |
How to measure
- Sit or stand with your foot flat on the floor and your weight relaxed.
- Wrap a soft tape measure around the narrowest part of your ankle, just above the ankle bone.
- Record the measurement in centimetres. If you sit right at the boundary (e.g. 22 cm), size up for compression that builds with wear, or size down for an extra-firm support feel.
Fit notes
- The freesize/one-size AS1 variants use a stretch cotton-spandex blend that fits ankles from approximately 18 cm to 26 cm. They're ideal if you want easy on/off or share the support between training partners.
- The sized S/M and L/XL versions give a tighter compression band for fighters who want firmer joint support — the support stays in place better during high-intensity bag work and pad rounds.
- Wear the support directly against the skin, not over a sock — that's where the cotton wicks sweat from.
