Ringside Groin Guard Size Guide
Ringside groin guards and abdominal protectors are sized by waist measurement. A correctly fitted guard sits snug at the hips without pinching the thighs and shouldn't ride up during stance work or movement.
Fit tip: Measure your waist where you naturally wear shorts — not at the narrowest point of your torso. Boxing groin guards are designed to fit over the hip bones, so the waist figure on the chart is the wear-line, not your trouser size.
| Size | Waist |
|---|---|
| YM (Youth Medium) | 26" - 28" |
| YL (Youth Large) | 28" - 30" |
| Small | 30" - 32" |
| Medium | 32" - 34" |
| Large | 34" - 36" |
| X-Large | 36" - 39" |
| XX-Large | 39" - 43" |
How to measure
- Waist circumference — with a soft tape measure, wrap around your waist at the level you'd wear training shorts (around the top of the hip bones), not at the narrowest part of the torso.
- Between sizes — size up. A guard that's slightly loose is more comfortable than one that pinches; the Velcro waistband cinches in to compensate.
- Wear it over training shorts — most fighters wear their groin guard over base layers and under fight shorts. Account for that thickness when choosing.
