The UK's Largest Muay Thai Shorts Range

Muay Thai shorts are the cornerstone of every nak muay's kit. Their short hem and wide leg opening let you throw uncompromised roundhouse kicks, drive knees from the clinch, and check incoming shots without fabric snagging on your shin. At Made4Fighters we carry over 350 pairs from the world's best Muay Thai brands — alongside complete kit pairings for the gym and the ring.

Traditional Thai shorts evolved in Bangkok gyms where the heat and humidity demanded lightweight, breathable satin polyester. That heritage is still visible in the bold colour palettes and embroidered logos of brands like Sandee, Twins Special and TUFF. Modern training shorts from Venum, Fumetsu and 8 Weapons use polyester-microfibre blends that wick sweat better and survive years of regular sparring. Whichever cut and construction you choose, every pair we stock is built for the unique demands of Thai boxing — kicks, knees, elbows and clinch.

Top Muay Thai Shorts Brands

Fairtex is the gold standard of Thai shorts and the brand of choice for countless professional Thai boxers. The slim-cut BS1708 silhouette is built for the ring; traditional BS designs feature satin construction and embroidered detailing built to last a decade. We stock close to 100 Fairtex Muay Thai shorts across adult, women's and kids' fits.

TUFF Sport — the Thailand-made label famous for bold Asian-inspired graphics, signature Thai animal artwork and a hugely popular retro high-cut range. Over 80 designs in stock; we are the UK's authorised TUFF Sport retailer.

8 Weapons is the Berlin-based label that brought European tailoring to the Thai shorts silhouette. Bold graphics, contemporary cuts and durable microfibre construction — popular with kickboxing and K-1 crossovers as well as pure Thai boxers.

Venum is the UFC's choice and one of the easiest brands to recommend for a first proper pair. The Classic, Adrenaline and Giant ranges balance authentic Thai cut with modern materials, and the price point is hard to beat for anyone training two to four sessions a week.

Sandee is the UK heritage brand for serious nak muays. Proper satin construction, traditional Thai cut and signature fight silhouettes — the brand worn by British and European champions for decades.

Twins Special remains the most traditional Thai brand we carry — worn by world champions for decades and loved for the authenticity of the satin construction, the embroidery, and the unmistakable Thai feel.

Fumetsu and Bytomic round out our value-focused brands — modern microfibre training shorts at price points that suit beginners and busy club gyms.

Muay Thai Shorts for Every Fighter

The standard Thai shorts cut is unisex with an adult fit, but Thai boxing is for everyone — and our range reflects that.

Women's Muay Thai Shorts

Women's Muay Thai shorts are cut for the female form with a tapered hip and slimmer leg opening, while preserving the kick clearance and knee freedom of the traditional Thai pattern. Available across Fairtex, 8 Weapons, Sandee, Fumetsu and more — over 60 pairs in stock.

Kids' Muay Thai Shorts

Kids' Muay Thai shorts are sized for junior fighters from beginner class to first competition — proper Thai-cut shorts from Fairtex (BSK series), 8 Weapons Joe / Jenny / Jipe and TUFF, not scaled-down adult pairs.

Picking Your First (or Next) Pair

For beginners — under £40

Start with a synthetic-blend training short. Bytomic, Fumetsu and the Venum Classic range sit in the £25–£40 bracket. They are durable, easy to wash, and survive the inevitable knee-skids of early sparring. Pair with a groin guard and a pair of Muay Thai gloves and you are kitted for class.

For regular sparring and club use

Step up to mid-range Fairtex BS-series, Twins Special classics or 8 Weapons. The cut is more generous through the hip for full-range kicks, and satin or microfibre construction holds up to four sessions a week. Add Muay Thai shin guards and hand wraps if you are sparring rounds.

For competition or showcase

Fairtex BS1708 slim-cut, Sandee signature satin and the Twins Special traditional ranges sit at £55–£90 — built for the ring with embroidered logos, contrast piping and the unmistakable Thai silhouette judges and fighters expect. TUFF's retro high-cuts are another fight-ready favourite for sanctioned bouts.

Materials, Construction and Care

Two main fabrics dominate Muay Thai shorts. Traditional satin polyester gives shorts their signature sheen, drape and embroidery-friendly surface — the look of classic Sandee, Twins and Fairtex fight shorts. Modern microfibre and polyester-spandex blends (Venum, Fumetsu and 8 Weapons training ranges) trade some of that sheen for better moisture wicking, faster drying and increased durability under heavy training loads.

Care is simple: cold wash inside-out, do not tumble dry, and avoid ironing the embroidered emblems. With this basic care any quality pair will outlast multiple seasons of training.

Muay Thai Shorts vs Boxing Shorts vs MMA Shorts

Three different sports, three different silhouettes. Boxing shorts sit longer on the thigh with a conservative leg opening — designed for footwork, not high kicks. MMA fight shorts use stretch panels and shorter cuts optimised for grappling and ground work. Muay Thai shorts split the difference — short hem and wide leg specifically for kicks, knees and clinch, with no grappling-friendly stretch. If you cross-train Muay Thai and MMA, consider a separate pair of each; if you train Muay Thai and kickboxing or K-1, your Thai shorts will serve both.
