Venum kids' boxing gloves are sized to age and weight, with three glove weights to match a child's growing frame: 6 oz for the youngest, 7 oz mid-range, and 8 oz for older kids approaching the cadet weight categories. The padding is calibrated for partner-safe sparring at every age. Browse matching kids' kit in the Venum collection.
Fit tip: These age and weight estimates are indicative benchmarks — glove size also depends on intensity, frequency and the protection desired. Heavier glove = more foam = more protection for both your child and their training partner.
| Size | Age | Glove Weight |
|---|---|---|
| S | 3-5 years old | 6 oz |
| M | 6-8 years old | 7 oz |
| L | 9-11 years old | 8 oz |
How to pick the right kids' glove
- Hand size first, age second: If your child is large or small for their age, prioritise hand size and glove fit over the age range.
- Sparring vs pads: Heavier gloves (8 oz) suit sparring; lighter gloves (6 oz) suit pad and bag drills.
- Velcro vs lace: Velcro is the right call for kids — easier to put on and adjust without a coach's help.
Not sure which size to pick? If your child sits on the boundary between two age ranges, go up — they'll grow into it within a season and the heavier padding is safer for partner work. We offer 30-day returns on unworn kids' gloves with tags attached. Browse the full Venum collection for kids' shorts, rashguards and protective gear.
