Elion sizes its shin guards by user height — the supplier publishes a two-size split that covers most adult fighters. Choose S/M if you're up to 170 cm tall, L/XL if you're over 170 cm. Calf circumference matters too: if you have notably bigger or smaller calves than average for your height, adjust accordingly.
Fit tip: Elion shin instep guards are designed for sparring with full foot coverage. A good fit means the shin pad covers from just below the knee to the top of the foot, with no gap above the ankle.
| Size | Height | Fits Best For |
|---|---|---|
| S/M | Up to 170 cm (5'7") | Junior, smaller adult |
| L/XL | Over 170 cm (5'7") | Standard to taller adult |
How to measure
- Height: stand against a wall in bare feet and measure floor to crown — Elion's primary sizing input.
- Shin length check: measure from the centre of your kneecap to the top of your foot. A correctly-sized guard should cover this full length without overhanging.
- Calf circumference: if your calves are larger than typical for your height (over 40 cm), go up a size for comfort under the straps.
