Century boxing and kickboxing gloves use the standard ounce (oz) weight system. Heavier gloves provide more padding for sparring; lighter gloves give faster hand-speed for bag and pad work.
Fit tip: match glove weight to your body weight and intended use. Pad and bag work runs lighter; sparring runs heavier for partner protection.

How to choose
- Sparring: 14 oz minimum for partner safety, 16 oz for heavier athletes — many UK gyms require 16 oz across the board.
- Bag and pad work: 10 - 12 oz for speed and hand-conditioning, 14 oz if you want extra wrist support.
- Pointfighter / point sparring: the C-Gear Determination Pointfighter range uses XS - XL letter sizing — measure glove width across the back of the hand at the knuckles.
