The 8 Weapons boxing glove range — Big 8 Premium, Premium, Classic, Unlimited, Unlimited 2.0, Hit, Pure, Shift, Sak Yant, Three Elephants 2.0, Cut Like a Blade and the Joe/Jenny/Jipe kids line — uses standard Muay Thai ounce sizing. All adult gloves are 10oz to 16oz; kids gloves are 6oz to 8oz. The weight controls padding, fist load and sparring suitability.
Fit tip: Most UK gyms require 14oz or 16oz minimum for partner sparring. 10oz and 12oz are bag and pad work weights. If you want one pair for everything, buy 16oz — they work across the full training spectrum.
| Weight | Bodyweight guide | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| 6oz | Kids under 8 years | Kids bag/pad work |
| 8oz | Kids 8-13 years | Kids pad and light bag work |
| 10oz | Under 60kg (132lb) | Bag and pad work, competition |
| 12oz | 60-70kg (132-155lb) | Bag, pad and light sparring |
| 14oz | 70-80kg (155-177lb) | Pad work and controlled sparring |
| 16oz | Over 80kg (177lb+) | Sparring standard, all-round training |
How to measure
- Activity: Match weight to use — heavier oz = more padding = more protection in sparring.
- Hand wraps: 8 Weapons gloves are cut to fit comfortably over 4m hand wraps. If you wear unusually bulky wraps, allow one weight up for fit.
- Gym policy: Always check your gym's minimum sparring glove weight before buying.

Description
Blue-and-black competition styling meets premium real leather in the 8 Weapons Shift Competition Boxing Gloves Blue/Black — a top-tier training glove for fighters who expect more from their gear across Muay Thai, kickboxing and boxing. Triple-layer foam padding, fully enclosed hook-and-loop wrist closure, and reinforced seams deliver long-haul durability across hard pad work, heavy bag rounds and partner drills.
The Shift Competition series is shaped around clinch-friendly geometry and dependable wrist support. A water-repellent inner lining helps reduce moisture build-up through sweaty sessions, the attached thumb keeps the hand in safe natural alignment, and a firm grip bar promotes a solid fist shape on impact. The bold blue-and-black colourway pairs cleanly with most rash guards and Muay Thai shorts.
Main features:
- Premium real leather with reinforced double-stitched seams
- Triple-layer foam padding for excellent knuckle protection
- Fully enclosed hook-and-loop wrist closure for strong wrist stability
- Water-repellent inner lining helps reduce moisture build-up
