The Fumetsu boxing glove range spans the full Muay Thai and boxing weight ladder — Ghost S3, Snake Eyes, Berserker, Alpha Pro MK2, Dragon Slayer, Oni, Anaconda, FMT1 and the Ghost S3 Kids line. All gloves are sized in ounces (oz) rather than hand sizes, with the weight controlling padding density, hand load and impact protection.
Fit tip: Pick by activity first, bodyweight second. Lighter gloves (10oz) suit bag and pad work for speed; 14-16oz is the sparring standard at most UK gyms. If your gym specifies a minimum sparring weight, follow that over any bodyweight guideline.
| Weight | Bodyweight guide | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| 6oz | Kids under 8 years | Kids bag/pad work |
| 8oz | Kids 8-13 years / very light adults | Kids pad and light bag work |
| 10oz | Under 60kg (132lb) | Bag and pad work |
| 12oz | 60-70kg (132-155lb) | Bag, pad and light sparring |
| 14oz | 70-80kg (155-177lb) | Pad work and controlled sparring |
| 16oz | Over 80kg (177lb+) | Sparring standard, all-round training |
How to measure
- Activity check: Confirm your gym's minimum sparring glove weight before buying — most UK gyms require 14oz or 16oz for partner work.
- Hand circumference: Wrap a tape around the widest part of your palm (excluding thumb). Larger hands often suit one weight up for fit.
- One pair starter: If you can only afford one pair, buy 16oz — they work for everything from pad work to sparring.
