Best MMA Brands

Taylor Saipe |

A hot topic in the MMA world is figuring out which brands are the best. It can be a tricky conversation because some brands, like Scramble, are all about combat sports and offer training gear for Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, Wrestling, and other disciplines.

However we wanted to share our thoughts on some of the best MMA brands making waves in the industry. These brands provide everything from gloves to training wear like shorts, ensuring you're always fight-ready.

Venum

Starting with one of the biggest names and a name that consistently stands out in the world of MMA is Venum

Established in 2006, Venum quickly gained recognition in the martial arts community for its durable and stylish gear that caters to fighters of all levels.

In 2021, Venum became the exclusive outfitting partner for the UFC, replacing Reebok. This collaboration brought Venum's cutting-edge design and technology to the forefront of the sport, providing fighters with top-tier fight wear and training gear.

Venum offers a wide range of products, including fight shorts, gloves, and training equipment, making it a favourite among fighters, with notable names such as José Aldo, TJ Dillashaw, and Justin Gaethje often seen wearing their gear.

  •  Venum x UFC: Venum also offers an exciting collaboration line with the UFC. This exclusive collection, available here, combines Venum's innovative designs with the high standards of the UFC.

Manto

Another brand making significant strides in the MMA community is Manto.

They're famous for their unique mix of style and functionality, creating products that not only work well but also look amazing. Some of their designs are really out there and loved by fighters of all ages.

One of our favourite new releases is the Manto Wicky collection, which includes fight shorts and rash guards. This is a collaboration between MANTO and @wicky_nishiura, designed by Japanese MMA fighter and designer Wicky Akiyo Nishiura. (Check out the images below)

Fairtex

Fairtex has a rich history in combat sports, and their expertise really shines through in their MMA equipment, less in the training apparel. They are also highly respected in the muay thai community, and their products are a go-to for many fighters.

Because they're primarily focused on Muay Thai, they offer one of the best selections of boxing gloves around. Many MMA fighters prefer using these gloves for their bag training sessions.

Since their establishment in 1958, many prominent MMA fighters, such as Alistair Overeem, Benson Henderson, and Angela Lee, have sported Fairtex gear.

Fairtex has a strong presence in ONE Championship, with many of its sponsored fighters competing in the organisation. The brand is highly regarded in the martial arts community, and their gear is frequently seen in ONE Championship events.

So, what MMA equipment does Fairtex offer? They provide MMA gloves, fight shorts, hand wraps, and essential training gear like punch bags and more.

Scramble

Scrambleanother highly respected brand, especially in disciplines like BJJ, where they produce some of the highest quality gis around.

They offer a wide range of fightwear and training equipment that caters to both modern and classic tastes, with a standout collection of fight shorts for MMA.

Established in the UK by two martial arts enthusiasts, Matt Benyon and Ben Tong, Scramble was inspired by their passion for martial arts and Japanese culture.

Many legendary MMA fighters wear Scramble gear, including Kazushi Sakuraba, a legendary figure in Wrestling, MMA and BJJ. Sakuraba has been associated with Scramble for several years, and the brand has even released a signature line of products in his honour.

Dan Hardy, the former UFC welterweight contender and now commentator, is often seen sporting Scramble gear both in training and outside the cage. He also has his own range: the Scramble x Full Reptile Collective “L228” collaboration.

Scramble's popularity extends to fighters on shows like the UFC and Cage Warriors, making it a top choice for many athletes in the MMA world.

Leone 1947

In our opinion, another fantastic brand for MMA gear is Leone 1947, a name that fighters can genuinely trust. This Italian brand specialises in sports equipment and apparel, especially for boxing, kickboxing, and other combat sports.

Founded in 1947 by Orlando Leone, the company has earned a stellar reputation for its high-quality products and deep ties to the combat sports world.

Many professional fighters endorse Leone 1947, and the brand has sponsored numerous boxing events, further solidifying its standing in the boxing community.

Plus, their prices are quite reasonable. For instance, MMA training gloves start at just £47.99 and have become a favourite here at Made4Fighters.

Leone 1947 also offers a range of equipment like shin guards, head guards, and accessories such as towels, backpacks, and more.
