ULTIMATE GUIDE TO VENUM BOXING

Venum's products and why they're so popular

Venum products are popular with fighters and fitness enthusiasts alike because they are made with quality materials and construction, providing athletes with the best performance possible. They often include very loud (some might say garish!) designs, which have always proven popular with fighters who want to stand out from the crowd. Whether you're a fighter looking for the perfect gloves, shorts, or rashguard, or you're simply looking for some new workout gear, Venum has you covered.

In addition to their high-quality products, Venum offers exceptional customer service, ensuring that you're always happy with your purchase. If you're not satisfied with your Venum product for any reason, their retailers will work with you to make it right.

With a commitment to quality and dedication to customer satisfaction, it's no wonder that Venum is one of the most popular brands in the mixed martial arts and combat sports world.

How to choose the right Venum product for you

When it comes to choosing the right Venum product for you, there are a few things to consider;

First, what do you need the product for?

Venum offers the largest selection of products in the entire martial arts industry, their product selection contains thousands of items for MMA, Boxing, Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai and they release brand new products every quarter! So make sure you know what you're looking for. Not sure? Check with your martial arts instructor if you have one. They will be able to recommend the items you need.

Second, what is your budget?

Venum products can vary in price, especially the equipment, but there are options for most. As a general guide here is an outline of their product ranges:

Venum Kontact

Price: £

The Kontact range of products is pretty much the basic accessories you need for training. Typically this range includes Mexican style Hand Wraps, Gel style hand wraps and slip-on style elasticated Shin Guards, and knee and elbow pads. They come in various colours which are refreshed regularly.

Venum Contender

Price: £

These are generally Venum's lower quality products and are accessible to most martial arts practitioners. The boxing gloves are made in china from Synthetic leather and there are thai style shin guards to match in a variety of colours. Their lowest price point BJJ Gi is also incorporated under the umbrella of the Contender range, along with training clothing, hoodies, joggers and other apparel which is seasonal and is upgraded regularly from version 2.0 > 3.0 > 4.0.

Venum Challenger

Price ££

The challenger range is a slight improvement over the contender range and offers a much wider product selection. One might say that this is Venum's 'core' range of training equipment. You'll find a fairly well-priced mouth guard, thai style shin guards, boxing gloves with a fancy embossed label, hybrid MMA style sparring gloves, full-face head guards, backpacks and some of their home fitness products.

Whilst the items in the Challenger range are superior to their cheaper Contender gear, the training equipment is still made of synthetic leather in china.

Venum Elite & Elite Evo

££££

Now we're getting somewhere! Venum is one of the few combat sports brands in the world that produces equipment in Thailand, in the form of the Elite Range. If you don't know, Thai gear is renowned as being some of the best training gear in the world. There's a reason brands like Fairtex and Twins are so sought after.

The Venum Elite Boxing Gloves, Shin Guards & Head Guards are all made from genuine leather and is slightly cheaper in price to that of it's Thai competitors, however, it is usually much more widely available, which is probably part of the reason for Venum's continued success.

Venum Giant

£££££

The gear for pro's! The giant boxing gloves have been a staple of Venum's range for many years and they have only continued to improve with the introduction of the "Pro Boxing" variant. The Giant range is also made in Thailand and is Venum's most premium option made of Nappa leather.

There are other products which come and go in this range, such as the Giant Muay Thai Shorts, which are also made in Thailand.

Special Mention: Venum Impact

Price £££

The impact range only currently consists of the Impact Boxing Glove and a 4oz style MMA glove. However, this range is made from a beautiful microfiber style leather in China, but the design is based on the Thai-made Elite glove. It's a great step if you want something better than the Challenger Glove, but can't quite afford the Elite.

Venum Clothing?

You'll notice I haven't mentioned much about the Venum Clothing, well, that's because the quality is more or less the same across every item and it's all made in the same factory in China. All of the ranges tend to be design-led, seasonal and limited edition, with the exception of some which prove popular and might end up being a stock item for 1-2 years (such as Gladiator 3.0 / GLDTR 4.)

Basically, the ranges aren't consistent enough to be listed here but be sure to check out our selection at Made4Fighters for the latest drops as we are one of Venum's largest stores and carry the majority of their product selection with over 2000 items in stock.

How to care for your Venum products

Venum products are some of the best in the business and, as such, need to be looked after in order to prolong their lifespan. Here are a few tips on how to care for your Venum gear:

  • If it's washable, always wash your gear after use, in order to remove any sweat or dirt that may have built up.
  • Do not bleach or iron your gear, as this can damage the fabric and reduce the lifespan of the product.
  • Store your gear in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
  • Use a sweat-absorbing product such as No Stink Deodorisers for items that can't be washed, such as boxing gloves or shin guards. These will help keep your gear fresh and dry
  • Don't wash apparel with velcro products such as hand wraps! This can ruin your rashguard or shorts and cause it to bobble. Top Tip: Wash training clothing inside out!

By following these simple tips, you can ensure that your Venum gear lasts for many years to come.
