Venum boxing gloves are sized by ounce (oz) weight — heavier gloves carry more foam padding for sparring and heavy-bag work, lighter gloves are built for competition speed and light pad rounds. Fit tip: These weight estimates are indicative — glove size also depends on intensity, frequency and the protection you need. The heavier the glove, the more foam layers, the more protection for both you and your training partner.

How to pick the right ounce
- Sparring: Default to 16 oz regardless of bodyweight — most UK gyms require it for partner safety.
- Heavy bag / pads: 12-14 oz is a good all-rounder for most weight classes.
- Competition: 8-10 oz depending on the sanctioning body and weight category.
- Beginners: Start with 14 oz — protects your hands while you build technique.

Returns & exchanges
Items must be returned within 30 days of purchase, unused, unsoiled and in resellable condition, in their original packaging with all tags attached. Hygiene exclusions apply; see our refund policy for full terms.
Start your return or exchange in our returns portal. Enter your order number and email address or postcode, select the items, and follow the instructions provided after approval. Use the return address and shipping instructions supplied for your order.
