Leone 1947 shin guards size on the fighter's overall height, not shin length. That's because Leone designs the shin plate to cover from below the knee to the top of the foot, and total height is the most reliable proxy for that span. Match your height to the chart below — taken from Leone's official shin-guard guide.
Fit tip: a correctly sized shin guard fully covers the shin bone and sits flush against the leg without sliding. If the plate ends above your ankle bone or below your kneecap, size up.
Leone 1947 Shin Guards Size Guide

|---|---|
| XXS | up to 135 |
| XS | 135-145 |
| S | 145-160 |
| M | 160-167 |
| L | 167-175 |
| XL | over 175 |
How to measure
- Stand against a wall in bare feet, heels together, back straight.
- Mark the wall at the top of your head and measure to the floor.
- Pick the row that brackets your standing height.
- For elasticated sock-style shin guards (DNA range), the band stretches — stay true to size.
Order with a 30-day return window if the protection needs to be a different size. Browse the full Leone 1947 collection.
