Ringside Boxing Gloves Size Guide

Pick your Ringside glove size by measuring the circumference of your dominant hand just below the knuckles, then matching the result to the chart below. If you fall between two sizes, size up — boxing gloves loosen slightly with use and bulkier hand wraps need extra room.

Fit tip: Boxing gloves are also sold by ounce (oz). Heavier gloves (16oz / 18oz) give more padding for bag work and sparring; lighter gloves (10oz / 12oz) suit pad work, technical training and fight night. Most adult Ringside trainers run 14-16oz day-to-day.

How to measure

• Hand circumference — wrap a soft tape measure around the palm of your dominant hand, just below the knuckles (excluding the thumb). Keep your hand relaxed and flat.
• Choose by use — 16oz for sparring partners' safety, 14oz for mixed pad/bag work, 12oz or under for technical drilling. Heavier gloves build shoulder endurance.
• Hand wraps add bulk — if you wrap heavy (4-5m), size up one bracket.
