The 8 Weapons boxing glove range — Big 8 Premium, Premium, Classic, Unlimited, Unlimited 2.0, Hit, Pure, Shift, Sak Yant, Three Elephants 2.0, Cut Like a Blade and the Joe/Jenny/Jipe kids line — uses standard Muay Thai ounce sizing. All adult gloves are 10oz to 16oz; kids gloves are 6oz to 8oz. The weight controls padding, fist load and sparring suitability.

Fit tip: Most UK gyms require 14oz or 16oz minimum for partner sparring. 10oz and 12oz are bag and pad work weights. If you want one pair for everything, buy 16oz — they work across the full training spectrum.

How to measure

• Activity: Match weight to use — heavier oz = more padding = more protection in sparring.
• Hand wraps: 8 Weapons gloves are cut to fit comfortably over 4m hand wraps. If you wear unusually bulky wraps, allow one weight up for fit.
• Gym policy: Always check your gym's minimum sparring glove weight before buying.
