Made4Fighters Partners with Polaris Jiu Jitsu

Polaris BJJ Partnership

Taylor Saipe |

Polaris Jiu Jitsu, Europe's longest-running large-scale professional grappling event.

Since day one, Made4Fighters has proudly supported Polaris as one of the official sponsors of this top level jiu jitsu showdown.

But for us, it's more than just backing a well-organised event that showcases amazing athletes—it’s about a shared love for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu that runs deep in both our histories.

The Polaris Invitational: A Premier Event

The Polaris Invitational has really made a name for itself as a submission-only event that’s captured the attention of the jiu-jitsu community around the world.

It all started on January 10th, 2015, in Poole, England. Since then, Polaris has grown into one of the most respected and beloved professional grappling events in the BJJ scene, regularly showcasing some of the biggest names in the sport, including multiple ADCC and IBJJF champions.

Polaris is known for its electrifying superfights, where top-tier athletes like Craig Jones from Australia, Kendall Reusing from the U.S., and Oliver Taza, who's Lebanese-Canadian put their incredible skills on display.

Whether it’s No-Gi or Gi matches, Polaris consistently delivers high-level action that keeps fans hooked.

Grappling stars like two-time ADCC champion Kaynan Duarte and even former UFC fighters like Aljamain Sterling have competed here. The prize pools are another huge draw, especially in their absolute GP tournaments, with winners like Duarte walking away with an impressive $30,000.

Why Polaris Is One of the Best Organized BJJ Events Worldwide

What sets Polaris apart? It's more than just the athletes or the submission-only format. It's the matchmaking, the commitment to showcasing the best talent, and the sheer excitement of watching fighters and professional grapplers lock horns in an environment that prioritises skill.

The focus on joint locks, chokes, and the art of ground fighting makes every Polaris event a must-watch.

The promotion has produced events with a variety of different formats like regular fight-nights, grand prix tournaments, and team grappling matches.

Polaris Jiu Jitsu Rules

Essentially the rules are IBJJF black belt rules for in the gi, and ADCC rules for no gi. The matches are 10 or 15 minutes in length and you can win by submission only.

The owners went back and forth on various rules for a long time, and in the end decided that this was the best way to keep the competition pure and fair.
