Moulding your Mouthguard
Taking the perfect mould of your teeth and gums is essential to ensure that your SISU mouth guard fits comfortably while offering maximum protection. Following the instructions above can guarantee you get the best fit possible.
First, it is important to heat water in a bowl to no more than 170° F before placing the mouth guard into the hot water until it becomes soft. To avoid glueing parts together, use a fork to lift the softened material out of the water bowl.
When you insert it into your mouth, be sure to tilt your head back and open wide before biting down gently on the solid bar found in the middle of the SISU. While pressing your tongue against your roof of mouth, use fingertips to mould the conformable material up against all upper and lower teeth in succession, starting from back to front.
Once this is done correctly, you will have a custom fitted guard no doubt providing enhanced comfort and superior protection for every workout or game! Once fully moulded, close your lips over the mouthguard and gently suck in air until the material has hardened to a perfect fit.
