The UK’s Largest Boxing Gloves Range

Boxing gloves are the cornerstone of every boxer’s kit. The right pair protects your hands and wrists through thousands of repetitions on the bag, keeps your sparring partners safe during hard rounds, and meets the weight specifications demanded for sanctioned competition. At Made4Fighters we carry over 670 pairs from the world’s leading boxing brands — from entry-level synthetic training gloves to hand-stitched Mexican leather fight gloves favoured by professional boxers.

Traditional craftsmen like Cleto Reyes in Mexico and Fairtex in Thailand still hand-stitch premium hides to produce gloves that form-fit the hand over years of use. Modern performance brands — Venum, Fumetsu and Rival — apply multi-density foam engineering to deliver consistent protection straight from the box. Whether your goal is fitness, amateur competition or professional training, we have matched thousands of UK boxers to the right pair since 2007.

Top Boxing Gloves Brands

Venum is the UFC’s official glove partner and the most-searched boxing brand in the UK. The Elite, Challenger and Impact ranges cover bag work, pad work and full sparring, with multi-density foam that rivals gloves costing twice as much. Over 130 Venum boxing glove styles in stock — the widest Venum range in the UK.

Rival Boxing is the serious boxer’s choice — a Canadian brand that has become the sparring benchmark for dedicated fighters worldwide. The RS11V, RB50 and RFX series use layered foam systems that hold their protection across years of hard training. Over 70 Rival glove designs in stock.

Top Ten brings German precision to the ring. Official suppliers to WKF World Championships and multiple national boxing federations, Top Ten gloves are trusted for sanctioned competition across kickboxing and amateur boxing. Over 65 styles including IMF foam sparring and lace-up competition models.

Fairtex is the gold standard of Thai leather craftsmanship. Built in Thailand from premium Thai hide, the BGV and BGL series offer a slim-fit profile that suits technical punchers and Muay Thai practitioners alike. The BGV1 remains one of our best-selling training gloves. Over 50 Fairtex styles in stock.

Twins Special carry decades of Thai fight heritage. Hand-stitched from premium cowhide in Bangkok, Twins gloves are loved for their traditional feel and the durability demanded in professional training camps. The BGVL-3 is a firm club favourite for its generous knuckle cushioning.

Fumetsu is Made4Fighters’ own brand and the most popular entry point for UK boxers. The Ghost and Origins series pair injection-moulded foam cores with breathable mesh palm panels at a price that suits beginners and club coaches buying in bulk. Over 40 Fumetsu glove styles from 8 oz upwards.

8 Weapons is the Berlin brand that brought European tailoring to boxing and Muay Thai gloves. Bold graphics, layered foam padding and a choice of premium leather or microfibre construction — popular with kickboxers, K-1 fighters and boxers who want performance as well as style.

Ringside is an American boxing institution that has equipped club gyms for over four decades. The Competition Pro Hide and Apex series are the go-to for coaches who demand traditional laced construction and genuine hide leather at a competitive price.

Our range extends further with Bytomic, Hayabusa, Sandee, Pro-Box and Cleto Reyes — for boxers who know exactly what they are looking for.

Boxing Gloves for Every Fighter

Boxing is for everyone, and our range reflects that.

Women’s Boxing Gloves

Women’s boxing gloves are built on a narrower last with slimmer knuckle-width foam blocks that fasten securely on smaller hands without bunching at the wrist. Available from Venum, Fairtex, 8 Weapons, Fumetsu, Bytomic and more in weights from 8 oz through 14 oz.

Kids’ Boxing Gloves

Kids’ boxing gloves come in 4 oz, 6 oz and 8 oz proportioned for junior hands. Properly padded children’s gloves from Top Ten, Fumetsu, Venum and Bytomic develop correct technique and protect growing joints from day one.

Picking Your First (or Next) Pair

For beginners — under £40

Start with a synthetic training glove that handles both bag work and light sparring. Fumetsu Ghost and Origins, Bytomic Black Label and the Venum Challenger all fall between £25 and £40. They are durable, simple to maintain, and survive the first year of training. Pair them with boxing hand wraps and your kit is ready for class.

For sparring and regular training

Step up to mid-range Fairtex (BGV1 or BGV14), Twins Special (BGVL-3) or Rival (RS11V). Multi-layer foam holds protection through four to five sessions a week, and the leather construction improves with use. Add a boxing head guard before your first sparring round.

For competition and professional training

Cleto Reyes hand-stitched leather, Ringside Competition Pro Hide and Fairtex premium leather fight gloves sit at £90–£180. Premium construction, tight tolerances and the weight certification that sanctioned boxing events demand.

Materials, Construction and Care

Two approaches dominate quality boxing gloves. Premium leather — Thai cowhide (Fairtex, Twins Special), Mexican hide (Cleto Reyes) and Pakistani full-grain (Ringside) — delivers a dense, hand-conforming feel that improves with use and outlasts synthetic equivalents by years. Modern PU microfibre (Venum, Fumetsu, Bytomic) provides consistent protection straight from the box, is easier to keep clean, and costs less — the practical choice for club-managed equipment or any glove that sees multiple users.

Care extends glove life significantly. Wipe inside and out with an antibacterial cloth after each session. Leave the cuffs open to air-dry — never sealed in a bag while still warm. A glove deodoriser placed inside after training prevents the bacterial growth that degrades foam and stitching from the inside out. With this routine any quality leather glove will outlast multiple seasons of hard training.

Boxing Gloves vs Muay Thai Gloves vs MMA Gloves

Three sports, three distinct tools. Boxing gloves build full protection around every part of the hand — generous knuckle padding, a rigid wrist cuff and minimal thumb articulation — optimised purely for punching exchanges. Muay Thai gloves loosen the wrist cuff and redistribute foam for catching kicks and knees in the clinch; the thumb profile allows slightly more hand articulation. MMA training gloves strip the design back to open fingers and minimal padding — built for grappling transitions rather than extended punching rounds. Boxers who cross-train Muay Thai can share one pair; those who add ground work should keep a separate pair of MMA gloves to protect their training partners.
